Starlooks Starbox- March 2014

This months Starbox was curated by an 18 year old girl named Ashley Hackman. I guess Starlooks found her on YouTube. She's cute, and funny and I was totally excited to get this months box...until I got this months box.  So disappointed. Luckily I get a birthday box and a referral box from them this month to make up for the fact that I will use nothing in the Ashley Hackman box. Here are the contents:

A lip liner in Cherry Cedar, a lipstick in Boss and an eye liner pot in Black Hole. 

 Why am I so disappointed? Here is why...first, anyone who subscribes to beauty sub boxes is drowning in black eye liners. In the six months since I started getting them, I must have gotten 5 or 6. Nuff said.

Second...Ashley Hackman wanted to design a box that was universal... A box everyone can use.  Yes.. Black eye liner is universal. But red lips? I don't know on what planet red lipstick is universal.  Yes, it's classic but it takes the right person to pull off bright red lips. And that person ain't me. Not to mention, the lip liner and the lip stick aren't even the same tone. The lip liner is more purply and the the lipstick is reddish orange. They look fine together but they both look ridiculous on me. I showed my husband and he said I look clown like. Oh well... Hopefully the bday box and the referral box will make up for it.
