Glossybox February 2014

Thetheme this month for Glossybox is "the month of LOVE" and even though I got it two weeks after LOVE day, I still LOVE my box. Except one thing...take a guess...

This month my Glossybox came with a little surprise... A broken nail polish! It was a full sized Lauren b nail polish in the color "City of Angels" valued at $18.

It didn't ruin everything, thankfully.  I emailed Glossybox so hopefully they will send me another since I was really looking forward to that polish. 

I got one item different from what I've seen on other blogs...they got a truffle serum and I am so glad I got something different to try because a friend game me the same thing from her Birchbox last month! Instead I got Renu Lip and Eye Active Lift. It was a delux sample and again, I hope this helps my under eye area. 

I also got a pack of "Puffy the Eye Bag Slayer" patches.. A set of three!  Can't wait to try these.  I hate my under eye area. This is a full size item, valued at $11.

Next is a Sumita gel eyeliner. You can see the swatches in this pic as well.  Love this eyeliner! So easy to apply and does not go anywhere after it sets.  This is another full sized product valued at $15.

The last item this month is Pureology Serious Colour Care "Colour Fanatic" treatment spray. This was a deluxe sample. I love Pureology, so I'm sure this product will be great too. 

Even though the box had a broken nail polish, I still loved it! I think the biggest bummer for me was that the box itself was ruined! I love those pretty pretty boxes! I'll let you know what they say about the broken polish. 

Birchbox February 2014

This month Birchbox teamed up with US Weekly to bring us their "Step and Repeat" box.  As skimpy as their samples can be, I actually got stuff I like this month and their points system definitely makes up for it.  Not sure how much longer I will subscribe, but after this month, they at least have me for one more month.  I got box #49 which, after looking at all the boxes this month, was my first choice. I was so excited to get it! I actually got three decent sized products this month, so no complaints here.

Here is what I got:

When people actually start following this, I will do close ups of each, but since I don't think that will happen this month, I'm too tired to do that tonight. 

-dr. brant "pores no more" pore refiner - travel size 0.25 oz ($22.50 value)

-OPI Mini Sheer Tints nail polish in "Be Magentile with Me" (such a cute little mini! $2.25 value)

-benefit "fake-up" eye concealer in medium (mini 0.5g $7-ish)

- Agave Healing Oil Treatment for the hair (0.1 oz). I really like this one! I will probably buy full size

-Beauty Extra- benefit "Big Easy" BB cream. This was seriously a dime size ridiculously small sample but I think I'm in love with this product! I will be buying it next week when I get paid.  It has medium coverage, mattifying powder-like finish with SPF of 35. I got it in medium and I love it. 

Overall, I got the box I wanted and the sample sizes and selection have been much better, and much more build around my profile than The past few boxes.  Just when I was about to give up on them, Birchbox came around.

Starlooks Starbox Sneak Peak February 2014

Glossybox: January 2014

Although I got my first Glossybox a week into February, I really loved this box! First do all...the packaging is so adorable.  I am going to sVe up a couple boxes and make this adorable drawer thing out of them.  Got the idea on Pinterest of course! 

Well here is my box:

-So I got a very large sample of the BCBGMAXAZRIA perfume (see the pic of the sample above to see the size...the one in the booklet they sent).  It is not my favorite, but I like it enough to wear it. It had a very strong floral scent.

-I also got a beautyblender  and a solid cleanser (full size).  This is my favorite thing in the whole box. I've been wanting to try it since I keep,seeing it all over the internet. It is the most soft, dense beauty sponge that doesn't absorb your makeup like crazy like the triangle wedges do. I highly recommend this item.  

-I also got a bellapierre mineral blush (full size) It's a pretty rosy color. I'll be using it every day. 

-Next I got a travel size Tony & Guy Hair Meets Wardrobe Sea Salt Spray. It smells great and leaves that awesome ocean/beachy texture in your hair like that you get at the beach. 

-I got a decent size VICHY Aqualia Thermal face lotion (the booklet nor packaging said it was for your face, I had to look it up). It is thick...good for winter skin. A bit on the expensive side. Probably won't be buying this. 

- the last item in my box was a free lipstick I got from a coupon code when I signed up for the box.  It is a Glossybox lipstick...a medium pink color. 

I liked my first month of Glossy! Looking forward to next month! (Or hopefully this month since it IS February!

Glossybox February 2014 Sneak Peek

Even though it is February 3rd and I still haven't gotten my January Glossybox, here are the sneak peeks for February:

Sneak Peek #1

It is Lauren B Beauty Nail Couture in what looks like the color "City of Angels". This nailpolish alone is $18.00 which is only a few bucks shy of the price of the box and we still have four products to go! Excited about this month! Excited about January's too.. Can't wait to get my hands on that beauty blender! Anyhow.. Stay tuned for the next sneak peek!

Sneak Peek#2: 

So each box will contain a full sized Sumita eye liner. This is a $15 pencil...the $21 box contains $33 worth of products and we still have 3 more products to go! Hopefully the boxes won't lag this month. I finally got my January box on February 7th...:(

Julep January 2014- the Dramatic Collection

I got the "Modern Beauty" box this month. 

Julep came out with a liquid eyeshadow and it was included in my box. I love it! I got the "Pale Nude Shimmer". It's beautiful!

The other item I got is their "Black ink Gel" liquid eyeliner. I got an Angled Liner Brush with it.  The brush is awesome! It feels like the handle is metal...it's heavy and feels like it is a good quality brush.

  I also got a bonus item, which each box gets this month.  I got the nailpolish "Love".
